On Tuesday 24 November 1998, the Aurora Garden Hotel, Windsor, was presented with a Corporate Welcome Host Certificate in recognition of the hotel's commitment to the English Tourist Board's nationally accredited customer care training programme.

John Slater, the Managing Director of the Southern Tourist Board, stated: "This is a wonderful achievement; staff have worked hard for this accolade which provides reassurance to guests about the warmth of the welcome they will receive."

Mr Travers-Smith, the owner of the Aurora Garden Hotel, commented that he was: "Very proud to accept this award as it reflects the dedication and attitude of all the staff towards our guests."
